Donating an item?
Acquisition policy
The Port Chalmers Museum collects items relating to maritime history or Port Chalmers history. As our storage space is extremely limited, we can only accept items which are rare or unique, or which have a special significance for the Port Chalmers area.
If you wish to donate an item to the Museum, please contact us before bringing your item in so we can assess its suitability for our collection.
We cannot guarantee that we will accept any items left at the door or sent via mail, and reserve the right to dispose of these unless instructed otherwise.
